Spring Harvest

Overview

Spring Harvest is a Christian based commercial organisation that provides and manages a range of events, i.e. conferences, books, holidays and resources. Sovereign Construction were recommended to the organisation and on the strength of its excellent reputation was selected to refurbish and extend their existing head office suites, creating further office space and facilities.

The brief included:

  • Demolition of a dividing wall following acquisition of the adjoining property in order to merge the two separate units into one by creating structural openings
  • Refurbishment of the new office accommodation in order to allow relocation of staff
  • Replacement of all internal finishes to the existing office accommodation
  • Formation of a recording studio
  • Complete new mechanical and electrical installation

    

           

Challenges

This project had a number of significant challenges for the Sovereign Construction management team, these were:

  • Programming new office accommodation and relocation of staff and facilities
  • The office was required to continue operating during the refurbishment
  • Short program duration was required
  • Specialised requirements relating to recording studio formation
  • CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations

Sovereign Solution

Sovereign Construction were able to complete the project within the required time frame through careful and thorough planning. To avoid disruption to the day to day operation of the office, staff were relocated to newly completed areas prior to works commencing on the existing office accommodation. Onsite management and communication was imperative and ensured that both timelines and budget allocations were met.
